More than 22.000 checkmate puzzles

Post by ogam »

Hello,

on my site I've put more than 22.000 checkmate puzzles (1, 2, 3 e 4 moves) playabled against a chess engine in an applet and with the possibility to export them in FEN notation:

The interface is very nice, and the exercises seem just right for someone who has recently learned the game and wishes to improve tactically. You might wish to include some "0 move" problems, in which the student simply needs to decide if the position is checkmate (or perhaps also provide an escape move if one exists).

Good idea. I've added it in my list of ideas for future development.
I'm also trying to apply the same interface to tactic exercises diffrent from checkmate but I still have a lot of coding problems to solve.

Ciao, Gianluca

ogam (Gianluca Cisana).
Thank you very much for the http://www.ideachess.com/checkmate-puzzle.php.
Personally I am very very happy. My brain will be much better thank you for uour advice and resource. :D :D :D
In my humbble opinion: All new engines must have as a part of their database these puzzles. Puzzles like these are as a good friends that help us for improving and developing our own tools and skills.
With best respect again Sir.

I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Yes you need Java Runtime Enviroment because puzzles are in an applet, you can download it from http://www.java.com

very interesting,

anyway, my comment that I tend to like to know the sources of games date and who was playing, why not?, finally, after all, the chess players do not have ©.

PD: all it´s free, ;-) I love GLP.
