Arena 2.0.1: Strange adjudication

Post by beachknight »

A game between Arasan and Crafty:

Crafty queens a pawn and Arena adjudicates the game in favour of Arasan.

The game in question:

Yes, Kurt. This could be a crafty config problem.
I'll check whether I forgot including some lines in rc file.

I am uncertain how to proceed further with the tests.
An option is to turn off the Arena adjud. Hundreds of
test games should then be checked one by one.

This happened again.

This could be an Arasan 11.6 x64 build issue.
Arena probably considers +M0 as whites mate
adjud. in favour of white.

PS: I am using another PS build (2cpu) this time.

Same experiences with Arasan 11.6 x64 (4cpu) and Crafty 23.1 PS x64 (4cpu) builds?

No idea what happened there. If I load the position into Arasan as an EPD, it never shows a + score. I'll investigate further.

Unfortunately I dont have Arena log files. I may post the third game.
But this will not give further useful info.

It is a bug related to UCI mate score display. Will be fixed in the next version.

An Arena workaround is to install Arasan as a Winboard engine.
