9th Amateur Championship Division 2

9TH CCRL AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP (Division 2)

Athlon XP2800+
Fritz 10 GUI
128mb hash each
3-4-5 piece tablebases
Ponder off
HS-Variety.ctg book
40 moves in 54 minutes repeating (adapted for the CCRL 40/40)
4 cycles (44 rounds)
Updated versions will not be introduced during the tournament.
The top engine is likely to be promoted into Division 1 for the following season. The second top engine will play a ten game match against the eleventh placed engine in Division 1 to determine whether it remains in Division 2 or gets promoted.
The bottom engine is likely to be relegated into Division 3 for the following season. The second bottom engine will play a ten game match against the second placed engine in Division 3 to determine whether it remains in Division 2 or gets relegated.

whoah...so many engines with 16.5, interesting tourney!

Imagine, that in year 2015, we will have about 1000 engines. The rating list will have a score of about a 0.25 difference gap between them. And there will be huge difference in ranking system. :shock: :wink:

This is the most hard fought tournament I've ever run. :P
Not sure if you had ever tested chessmaster personality-only tourneys, but they are all of similar strength, close results and definitely hard fought.. :P
