Since you have the computer time I guess it's OK, I think it was Dennis P Mendoza who analyzed the difference between sources. Only thing he found was few lines regarding pondering.

It seems that version 1.3a is not so strong as 1.3 if you compare the last tournament (http://pagesperso-orange.fr/lefouduroi/ ... /cadet.htm) with the tournaments that BBChess 1.3 played as guest in Division Cadet last month:

I think 1.3 used 100% of the CPU time even when pondering was turned off, kind of like multicpu crafty.
