Don't think any other engine will manage this in comparable time, Critter took some minutes longer on 9MV and Houdini got it once in 1'11" at same settings.
It seems to me, MV is better reproducable as for SMP and many variants (as many as cores?) than single variant is.
Has anybody same impression or better basic knowledge?
And does anybody know this study? I guess it must be such.

Just kidding, engine has to cope with multivariant mode as well as with single of course, but multivariant cleverly used for analysis is a very important feature to me too.
Here is H3 even faster on 12 mulitvariants than on 9 before:

The forcing of the black b-pawn onto the c-file (to avoid it later freeing the whlte a-pawn and destroying the stalemate) is very nice.

I think that Houdini never find 1.Nc6! with single PV and without tricks (PV = 9 is only a trick), but Sting SF 2 (PV version rather is worse) or furter Sting SF 3 has a chance.peter wrote:Hi again, Marek!
