Another problem: how many games one should play simultaneously? It's not easy to manage with more than two games when one comes to home from work at late evening. (Talking about me...)

We could arrange some tournaments with 4 - 6 - 8 people so that you can decide to enter only one tournament or 2 if you want.
1. I think the rule 1 move per day must be necessary. We must set a time rule and not a time control just to ensure that 40 moves per 40 days will complete
2.Every player will have 30 days vacation per year.I think its a good one proposal. We will open a thread about player sign-ons and next to every player's name would be the vacation days left number. So someone from here will moderate this thread about sign/ons and vacation days
3.Because summer is getting closer,we would organize this idea now and begin playing the tournaments from September
Exchanging an e-mail about that with Richard Pijl.

I think he's right. We could post here our results, anyway.

Great idea. It could be held in the Tournaments and Matches forum.
Should be interesting if it is started here. The sooner the better.
Best,
Gerold.
P.S. We have had matches in the past in the forum. Nice games played here.
All i had is an idea.I think it could place here a tournament like that. But after all iam not the one that decide something like this or making something like this. There are the admins and moderators.Iam just a member with an idea. Thanks to all for the responses in this thread:)

I agree that it would be better to use a proper chess correspondence server. There exists a wide variety and I think we should evaluate which server fits our needs best.
The server essentially has to support our desired time-control and the games have to be easily accessible (without registration on the site) to anybody interested from this forum.
Preferably the server should additionaly support conditional moves.
Can anyone here suggest other sites that offer good correspondance chess capabilites? Do you see any other criteria to evaluate these sites?
