I will post the first position form the Chessbase site that I provided. White to move and find the best move Nd2! blocking the Rook and winning it with the White King in the next move :wink:

[d]2rq1nk1/4bp2/4p1pB/Pp1pP3/1p1P2Q1/5NP1/1P2rPK1/RR6 w - - 2 1

=====================================================================================================================

The next position black simply play Nd7! and trap the White Knight:

[d]8/8/4kn2/3p4/N1pP4/1pP5/1P6/2K5 b - - 2 1

======================================================================================================================

Black to play, and most engines will find 27....Rxe4!

FWIW, they are aimed at players 1500-1900 or so.

FruitFly finds #1 easily:

Score : +2.56
Depth : 2/1
Time : 00:00:00
Nodes : 633
N/sec : 1899
1. Nd2 Rxd2 2. Bxd2

FruitFly needs a bit more depth for #2, but still solves it:

Score : -1.02
Depth : 12/1
Time : 00:00:00
Nodes : 2534
N/sec : 11695
1... Nd7 2. Kd2 Kd6 3. Kd1 Kc6 4. Kc1 Kb5 5. Nc5 Nxc5 6. dxc5 Kc6 7. Kd2 Kxc5

FruitFly finds this rather easily

Score : -3.20
Depth : 7/1
Time : 00:00:00
Nodes : 49030
N/sec : 55505
1... Rxe4 2. f5 Rxe2 3. Nxe2 Re8 4. Nf4 Ne3 5. Kg1 Nxc2 6. fxg6

Note though how all problems were solved in less than a second.

In how many seconds can FruitFly find the rest of the positions from Chessbase? Why does Chessbase post such an easy puzzles in their website?

See answer above.

Tip: use your brain instead of a 2500-2600 engine.

You can NOT use your brain for all the positions, I solved all the previous one that I posted, Buty I could not solved this one and I am a 2200 rated player or was 18 years ago since I don't play active anymore :roll:

This position is a little bit more challenging for players less than 2300, I believe for this one you need an engine rated at least 2300 to find the best move.

White to play and win :!:
