Team Parle..

first i am challenged by Team Hiarchs to play an assortment of computers against the powerful Hiarcs Engine backed by a well oiled organization numbering in the thousands( not to mention unlimited financial resources) .a challenge i was able to stand ..and deliver on

then..only a few days ago ..in an effort to defend and uphold the honor diginty and strength of the CCC charter(for which many have died giving their very lives in battle to protect) i must face the Medusa herself..
with my trusty sword.. glowing blue .i dispatched head after head swiftly and cleanly..only to have two heads grew in its place..
the now epic encounter raged on for hours until adjourned by me as we reached the time control but which at the end of the day future adjudication will show my position to be clearly won

and now..once again.. i find myself alone ..facing the World Renown Australian Parles ..united by blood oath..in what can only be called...
The 4k Hemisphere Challenge..

sadly.. the starting times offered to me for this battle of the hemispheres do not leave me with the proper time to prepare and so i must decline and regroup my forces to fight another day..

Steve B..Party Of One Regards
Steve

To the Man who Never Sleeps,

OK. Let me know. It will take me a week to insert the 20 Mhz crystal and peltier heatsink into Beryl anyway

hi Jon
i am available to play within the next 5 minutes

if you agree that the Yeno with pondering would certainly win against the non-pondering Star Beryl then please indicate your acknowledgement of this historic fact by not replying to my challenge and this post within the next 5 minutes

To anyone interested, the two games were actually drawn (in the second we were running out of time to complete the game but the position was even).

Even though the two games were at fast time controls (30 secs per move), I feel that a proper, "official" match-up is warranted. Here are the games:
