I tried playing against it in Fritz gui. Engine makes totally illegal moves. It moved a bishop out to the 3rd row when all 8 pawns were still in the second row.

Guillemot is playing Terachess while Stockfish is stuck in the past.

this is why I retired from stockfish, just can't keep up with the modern techniques

The non-boss version (the actual chess-playing engine instead of the memory injection required to get Cutechess to accept my “non-traditional” moves) is only around 2400-2500 elo.

You can use the non-boss version for analysis and rating lists and whatever, but it wouldn’t be much better than any other engine around that level. It’s not a very complicated chess engine. More effort was put into the actual memory injection and fun gimmicks it can do such as converting the opponent’s king to your side on your move.
