Strangely, Patricia 5.0 can't find the mate here, whereas many engine get it quickly. This might be of interest for the author.

The problem seems to appear only when I use the .pgn to analyze the position. In Fritz or Hiarcs Chess Explorer GUI, if I load the game and go directly to move 17 (or go through each move before), Patricia won't find the mate.

However, when I paste the FEN it does find it quickly.

Don't know; here (Linux, En-croissant) Patricia 5 finds the mate in ten instantly. FEN/pgn provided - no difference.

I think your correct, but what confused me was that 17.Rh7+ is not even a repeat as when white played 15.Rh7+ there was a bishop sitting on g8.

But the position occuring after 15... Kxg8 and 17... Kg8 is indeed the same, and that's probably why Patricia evaluate it as a draw.

I would like this behavior to be changed in a future update (if any, even if it make it lose a few elo), as I use Patricia to analyse games, and sometimes it can find fabulous moves that even Sf 18 doesn't see.
