Maybe being an tactical player is disadvantageous for older chess players.

Probably depends on the player, GM Anand does not seem to be doing to badly and he is just 6 years younger than GM Kasparov. I think it is more due inactive play by Kasparov.Henk wrote:Maybe being an tactical player is disadvantageous for older chess players.

Yes they say brains and muscles are comparable. For instance if you don't use them enough they shrink.

Ted: nobody dared to play najdorf as white against him. One can suggest that kasparov's opening repertoire is slightly aged/outdated, considering 12 years absent from the board.

That would mean Emanuel Lasker being best player all time. For he didn't care about opening advantage. Playing only moderate openings.
