Yes, it's very hard to get a boring game with Thinker :)

This is weird.

I can't get Thinker 5.1C Passive 64-bit to Ponder using Chessbase GUI.

However, Thinker 5.1B Passive 64-bit Ponder's like there's no tomorrow.

I really like this engine but I can't figure out why it won't Ponder using the latest version :(

Anyone know what the difference between 5.1B and 5.1C are by the way?

It's the ponder issue,Thinker 5.1b ponders by default and can't be switched off, many users testing with ponder off complained and Lance released a non-ponder version and guess what,it's Thinker 5.1c :P

So basically what you are saying is that the only difference between B and C is ponder and no ponder?

If so:

Excellent!!!

No problem!

I am running a blitz tournament, time control 3 minutes per game. Run on a Q6600 at 3.4 GHz. Rybka used RybkaII.ctg and Thinker used an opening book created from "f-quisinsky__random.pgn".

I think there might be more differences between the two versions but the main difference is the ponder issue.
