One other question if I may. Say I use a weakened stockfish using skill level or UCI_Elo or another weakened engine like Maia. Does the time control have any effect if I do this. Say I set the time to level 1 will the weakened engine play the same if I set the time to say level 4 or even level 10 or does the level affect the weakened engine and maybe make it stronger as it thinks more.

Thank you.
This is not a specific Android app question.

Some engines weakens themselves by limiting the nodes/search depth they visit. So longer time controls has no effect then.

Maia should in theory be used with the "1-node" limit so any time control you set has no effect at all.
Unsure if Chess for Android even runs Maia with "1-node " limit. I guess it doesn't.

Stockfish limits the search depth - so longer time control has no effect at all.
