Hi, Sergei!
Im using SmarThink only as WB engine.
My problem is SyzygyPath
As UCI, SmarThink have this syntaxis to the path.
But in the ini file (as WB engine) only recognize
UseEGTB=on
and
EGTBpath=c:/tablebases
Ive tried in ini file
SyzygyPath=e:/STB
but ST dont recognize this argument
Could you upload your ini file?
Thanks in advance

Use
EGTBpath=c:/STB
EGTBpath now is the path for Syzygy tables.

Sergei - I know that Q6600s are old now, but I can't any of these exes working on one. Previous SSE3 versions ran fine.Sergei S. Markoff wrote:http://genes1s.net/smarthink.php
Major changes:
— Syzygy tablebases support;
— no more Nalimov EGTB support;
— more agressive forward pruning;
— better time management;
— several optimizations;
— further eval tuning.
Estimated Elo gain: +50
I open the exe and click uci and all is fine. Then I click go and it crashes.

Hello Graham!
Have you tried it w/o TBs? I wonder if a new Syzygy support can cause some problems. I think x32 version has some problems with it.
Any of x64 versions are going to crash? Can you provide me with more info about these crushes? Some debug info, exception details and so on?..

These were the 64-bit exes that were crashing. I'll investigate further.Sergei S. Markoff wrote:Hello Graham!

Hi,
I have a lot of crashes too. I use 64bit compile and 5men syzygy bases here.
Inside Fritz GUI I get a crash message, inside Shredder GUI I see only:
lost in time.
I have around 10 % crashes. Example:

I can continue the games at this position without problems. Inside Fritz GUI I know not how to make a debug file if there is no engine option for it.

Do you have values.txt file in engine folder?
