vcredist arm is for arm systems but it's not your case
I use Arena. Did all that and it still doesn't work.
Anyway good luck.

It needs the x86 redistributable even if your system is windows x64. (You can actually install both). Did you try that ?

Hi Marco,

which could mean that your current parameter set (unlike mine) is already very strong or your fitness function is producing a weak signal.

From your last post I would say your genom is to large or the population size for such a big genom is to small.

I've done a lot of testing already and I'm still looking for the best approach. Anyway it is much more interesting than CLOP. I don't use what I don't understand in theory.

My task manager shows it to be 32-bit.

Then I am probably missing something else as well. Visual Studio was mentioned but I think it is not free.
The redistributable is free

That is what made it work for me, but something must be different on your machine. Is it your Vista x64 box ?

Then XP is likely to be the problem.

:)
I have some problem with google git so the latest source is inside the compressed file you downloaded

I'll try to reply to some question.

I don't know if my file is suitable for win xp, I'll try and see but today I have not a windows xp pc sorry.
The code is compiled for 32 ibt systems.
the source is together with the exe yuo downloaded.

and yes, I'm starting hating Microsoft Visual Studio express 2012 that caused all this problems.

No, I think you are wrong. I downloaded the program 2 different times. It is working for me now fine as i said, however, the folder in the download I got has a source subfolder, but it is completely empty. No source there. Tho it doesn't matter to me, as I would not even know what I was looking at anyway, I just thought I would mention it. I assumed you knew. There is another possibility- however. McAfee may remove it when it runs a virus scan because it falsely thinks there is a problem file in it. I have seen it do that before with certain engines.

Best,

george
