Now someone wants to be slick and slowly ease the blame toward Leo. Bullshit. Why didn't it show up in wiki either? I know exactly what happened. He wanted it tested- wasn't sure it was ready to really be released. But it was available on his site- which means it can be said it was being kept from no one. Notwithstanding the fact that when you click on "latest download", or "latest version" it still shows 4.88. But blame that on a site overhaul. All very convenient.
You mean, the page that has two dead links, one of them marked as "new"? The page that the author himself admits is not actively maintained?

Yeah George, it's a conspiracy, specifically designed to get you upset. Oh, those dastardly chess programmers!

Tony, it is cut and dried. You know good and well any programmer- bar none- who has an updated version that he knows is 25 to 50 elo stronger than his previous one- would be raising holy hell if it had been on his site semi-hidden for 30 days- and no mention in Leo's or wiki. (Ron admitted they were looking in the wrong place-the usual place did not show it) All you have to do is go to CCRL single cpu and see that as of yet it isn't showing to even be as strong as 4.88. Admittedly only 82 games- but with enough, it "may or may not be stronger." And that is why Pedro hasn't been eager for everyone and their uncle to have it. He knew exactly what he was doing. The mistake is that people think I am pissed because I didn't get it earlier. Not at all. I don't have it now- and may not run any more of his versions. And I am sure he will lose tons of sleep over that. I spent 4 months, starting Sept. 1 running over 230 freeware engines- and am still not quite through yet. and his 4.88 was one of them. And you are wrong if you think I was doing it for myself. And this is how I get treated. A quasi-public release that Ron had to find out about from Ruxy. And 2 different back up excuses if needed- 1.Well, it was there. 2. Well, I was overhauling the site. He knew exactly what he was doing.
George, I find a little absurd your comments.

The reason for not to release (advertise) the new version of the engine has nothing to do with the strength of the engine, in my test the new version after 250 games is about 45 points better than the previous version.

As I already mentioned in a previous post I stopped all activity on DanaSah; programming, testing, modifying of web page, a version with limited force by ELO, a programming course on engines. I also stopped the activity on web page Hispanics engines, Winboard Zeta and Elo list.

I think you can understand that when a person ceases all activities on a hobby, there must be an important reason for this. I do not like to talk about this topic in the forum (a personal problem), I could have given an explanation in a private message.

I think was not necessary say to forum that from a month ago I visite the hospital every day and spent half the day in the hospital, the reason that I ceased any activity related with chess computer.

I tested it out on my ICS. Seems solid but my issue is that it appears to have built-in ICS management. Namely even though it doesn't set any formula it won't replay people after 1-2 games.

Glad to test though :)

Pedro, I certainly hope whoever it is- you or a loved one, is ok and gets well from any medical problems. True, this is just a hobby, and compared to a sickness you or someone you care for has- this hobby is meaningless. Sometimes i forget that a hobby is all it is- and there are a million things more important. I will say a prayer for you or anyone close to you who is ill- and I wish for a speedy recovery.

All my best,

george
