This is on Windows. I just use the File menu, do View Live PGN, select all the text, type Control-C to copy.

Now if I paste into Notepad, I see no line breaks. It is all one line.

Hi Jon,

Strange, that is to say I can't reproduce here with Internet Explorer or Chrome in Windows Vista. The only thing I can think of is that 'Word wrap' (Dutch: automatische terugloop) was perhaps not enabled? In Notepad++ I saw that it is not enabled by default, but in Notepad I think it normally is.
Or maybe Notepad++ by default expects Unix line endings, I don't know.

I see this:

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

I can confirm the problem with Firefox under Windows. If I do the same as Jon and analyze the contents of the paste buffer (e.g. with "od" = octal dump) I see no line endings at all, except for one newline character at the very end of the PGN.

Also Notepad++ has no problems in displaying text with either Windows style or Unix style line endings, it adapts automatically to whatever it gets.

Congratulations to Stockfish, Komodo, Gull and Houdini for qualifying for Stage 4.

Stage 4 will start in 4,5 hours and can be followed on the live page:
http://tcec.chessdom.com/live.php

Stage 4 is a dodeca round robin. The openings are again assembled by Nelson Hernandez & Adam Hair.

The rating list has also been updated after Stage 3, you can find it here in the archive page:
http://tcec.chessdom.com/archive.php

Updated engines for Stage 4:
Komodo 1331
Stockfish 301114

Enjoy!

Komodo 1331 seems to be invincible. Houdini as white has +1,99 no win :o . Houdart gave 95% win with +2 score. But if there is lose after book moves nothing helps - even with world fastest computer you only see defeat faster :) .

Indeed, it is doing well so far.
Is it really so strong? Or is the version of SF in stage 4, maybe a weak version?

Certainly not weak, but maybe there is a small regression...

K just rocketing off the lead. If the trend continues, this is going to be very lopsided :D

Stockfish won a very nice game against Komodo, but somewhat surprised at how Komodo played this position. Already White has an advantage and black needs to find a way to develop something fast. White has burned his bridges with a king side attack and if does not succeed chances are it will backfire. Most likely black can or HAS to sac material to equalize. In this position Komodo played the pretty terrible Qd6? and was smothered by SF. Most likely c5 was a better move. Maybe the position is already lost (although I doubt it) ... anyone study this position deeply?

Already White has an advantage and black needs to find a way to develop something fast. White has burned his bridges with a king side attack and if does not succeed chances are it will backfire. Most likely black can or HAS to sac material to equalize. In this position Komodo played the pretty terrible Qd6? and was smothered by SF. Most likely c5 was a better move. Maybe the position is already lost (although I doubt it) ... anyone study this position deeply?

My best stockfish say It's -0,63 with best move Be7-d6. So a tough one at least. Maybe lost.
