Ran a quick match Noomen test suite with the following


Komodo 8 vs Komodo 7a and K8 hammered K7a a whopping 67 elo

I know too few games and only blitz but hay huge improvement.

Then i ran same test with K8 vs SF 220814 IPx and the match was won by 1 game to SF again nothing much can be read from this but same test with K7a a while ago K7a lost by a good margin.

So big thumbs up to Komodo team.
I will keep you posted if i find any bugs

Good job Mark and Larry! Can't wait to give the engine a run. By the way I noticed that there is an Android version, will it run on any mobile phone? I have a Samsung S5 with Stockfish on it, can I install it as an extra engine? Otherwise, what GUI is the Android engine working without any problems on? Thanks in advance.

No, yesterday and today's zip files are exactly the same. At some point 'About Komodo' text will be added to README.txt. It'll also be added to the website too.

Is Komodo 8 faster than Komodo 7, kN/s -wise ? If so, by how much ?
Does it reach more Depth, faster ?
My my main gripe with komodo 7 was the very low kN/s speeds compared to H4 and even Stockfish !
