You will find the relevant option in the engine configuration dialog.

From memory, after installing an engine in Arena, you right click on the engine window to access the parameters for that engine.

After you have loaded the engine, you should be able to open the configuration window via the menu.

I did try that, of course, but I just get an editor text windows with a list of parameters, non personalities at sight.
OK, do not bother, my friend, sooner or later I weill pick up the correct button.

My best and thanks

Ah ok, that explains now. In Arena the engine configuration dialog only works for uci engines. Glass understands both protocols uci and winboard. If you let Arena choose which protocol to use, it will select winboard automatically.
Its easier for you to switch Glass to uci mode. Otherwise you would have to edit the configurationfile manually.

Ok, I saw that and now I have the personalities. The last question is; which of them are funny BUT not really weak? I like to play with diverse adversaries BUT not less tnan 2300 players....

Great, that the dialog is showing now.
Pawel can definitly tell you more about the different personalities at higher levels as I never play any of the > 1700 opponents myself. He actually commented on the playingstyle of each of the different personalities. You can find the detailed info in the enclosed pdf file.

Here I quote his words on the 4 strongest personalities:
Aggressive (2300) An ex-tournament player, really strong, if already past his prime. Tends to underestimate his opponents, and for that reason often overextends himself, going for a quick finish. Aggressive and dynamic. Probably third-best Glass personality after Glass and Contender.
Contender (2400) Similar in strength to default, emphasizes mobil-ity. Prefers defense to attack, though both are not its favorite departments of the game.
Glass (2400) Default version, rather aggressive, likes restricting opponent’s mobility.
Bright (2250?) Once a problem child, now a promising junior player, aged 15. Active, if sometimes slightly careless, not really attack-minded, similar to Contender.
