Thanks for sharing the results.
Can you please show the individual match results Vs. Rybka/Zappa/Hiarcs?
Thanks,

Re: Shredder 11 rating
Hello
One example: I played 100 games of Beta 1 vs my 16 engines testset. Then I got a BetaX2 which was identical except the UCI-output - something I did not know! The result after 1600 games was virtualy identical (4 Elo difference) but the individual result after 100 games vs the different engines varies about 10%.
I can imagine that someone wants to see these results, but I ask everyone to look at the common rating lists a few days after release.
Bye
Ingo
I could, but, as I wrote, I played 100 games vs every engine. The meaning of 100 games is close to zero!Nid Hogge wrote:Thanks for sharing the results.

Re: Shredder 11 rating
Very nice results ... it will be interesting to see how Shredder 11 has improved. Do you have any results with multiple processors. I am interested to see how Shredder 11 scales with 4 processors. Will it come with a deep version or will it have a system similar to Rybka where you get all the different compiles at one cost. I will definetely get the Deep version ... personally I think that there should only be one version that can play with 1 thread to X threads.

As long as it is priced nearer the single price rather than the deep price....M ANSARI wrote:... personally I think that there should only be one version that can play with 1 thread to X threads.
There are already a number of precedents on this - Zap! Chess, Zappa Mexico, Naum, Deep Sjeng among others. Hopefully it is the start of a trend, but I suspect Shredder and Hiarcs for example will maintain their pricing policy
Re: Shredder 11 rating
May be they should follow the friends system. Sort of like the banks do, if I recommend someone else to open an account I get 25-50 bucks depending on the bank. Instead of giving money, they (SMK and others) can give the referer a free deep version.Spock wrote:As long as it is priced nearer the single price rather than the deep price....M ANSARI wrote:... personally I think that there should only be one version that can play with 1 thread to X threads.
