and after the current 2A division gets finished,Romichess will challenge these opponents on one on one battle.

Code: Select all

Romichess (NG4 or Latest Beta) 30 games Noomen Matches against

1.Kiwi (seeking revenge)
2.Nanoszachy (Current Edition Division 4 Champion)
3.Homer (Romi seeking revenge)
4.Pupsi (4th edition runner up)
5.Hamsters(will play as long as Kiwi also plays)
6.Xpdnt(3rd Division Champ)
7.Delphil(3rd Division Runner up)
8.Muse (2B Champ)
9.Danasah (Almost same strength as Romi)
10.Crafty

Any more engines you would like to add to the list,Michael?
Lime 6.3! :D
Zeus 1.27 :D
Grecko :)

Let me see if I can think of some more!
Then it would look iike my tournament you silly goose. Tell him to try some other engines.
But, but, but Romi does 95% against Lime, 90% against Grecko and 78% against Zeus!
Here is the first few sentences of the small bodybuilder small story, it only got about 10 sentences. Once up on a time there was a body builder, he was 5 feet 4 inches, 180LBs. After many years of working out and taking steroids, he realized that he didnt have the size to make it to the top at IFBB heavy weight, mainly Mr. Olympia.

Actually I know a 5'4" body builder. And after taking steroids for many years, he just became a mean stupid angry jerk.

But if I were to relate this back to RomiChess then I would gather that the moral of the story was for the body builder to reinvent himself and become successful in another way. For RomiChess it would be to do that rewrite that I have been talking about and give up trying to pump more steroids into this 5'4" version of RomiChess! How did I do?

He wanted to win so bad in a bodybuilding championship he decided to become the smallest, most masculine bodybuilder at a svelete 2000 Oz. He never won any shows, but however he did manage to be one of the smallest human adults who is the strogest/oz. I wont know how well of a job you have done with the Romi until I complete testing it would I? As far as I am concerned any improvement is better than none.

Thanks Swami,

I needed something uplifting to ease the melancholy of my existence!

These are good results, are they not!

Oh, I see that you tested NG5! NG5 and NG4 are very different betas. Are you also going to run NG4 against this gauntlet for comparisom? It would be very helpful!

A nice performance against Crafty. What version of crafty is it. I have only tested against ver 19.19 which is a bit outdated. If 30% is against the newest ver of Crafty then this result could be an improvement!

Thanks,
Mike

Edit: Crafty 21.5, that is a good result then! :D

Yes,Romichess results are good considering it did well against Danasah which was supposed to be equal in strength to Romichess.

Maybe you can use Kiwi instead of Hamsters from now on and if any of your newer betas score more than Kiwi, then you can consider using Crafty.

Yes,I can test Ng4 against these engines, but only after Division 1 A gets over because I can't have league type tournament pending :)

Yes,Tony said 30% against Crafty would be his best estimate. But wait for the second half :)

Hi Swami,

Thanks for running this gauntlet for RomiChess. Looks like Hamstars did not need Kiwi's help to get revenge! :(

I hope Tony is running his gauntlet for RomiChess, because that may give some more info. Tony uses Dr. Wael Deeb's book which adds a few percentage points (usually about 8) to Romi's scores. If Tony does run the gauntlet and Romi gains on average 8 pecentage points more, then this version should be an improvement. I'll just have to wait and see.

Best,
Mike

Unfortunately yes but this version seems to be almost equal to Hamsters,I suggest you use Romichess NG4 instead I don't know if it is any stronger but it seems to be stronger based on 30 something games.

Yes.Tony can tell you something about it as he usually runs a test on Romichess, From next edition I might start creating Engine with their books tournament as Ron Murawski gave examples on why to use Engine with own books.
