Any workaround for reinstalling Houdini chess engine on a new PC?

Hi everyone,

My old computer recently died, and I had Houdini installed and licensed on it (also installed on my old laptop). Now I want to install it on my new computer, but it seems the license is limited to a certain number of activations.

Since I can’t deactivate the old installation, does anyone know if there’s a workaround to install to a new computer?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Houdini is "persona non grata", so there won't be any more releases, more than likely.
one of the members had the source code of version 6 and did a build and called it Houdidit which might still be floating around, but other than that, sorry.
