Schooner 2.2 can't see mate in 1

Post by CMCanavessi »

I just saw a game between Senpai 2.0 and Schooner 2.2 live, and I couldn't (and can't) believe my eyes. I have re-tested the same position several times and Schooner always plays the blunder move 10... Ne6, which is a mate in 1 for white.

Schooner needs a good NNUE Net
Do NOT worry and be happy, we all live a short life

No
You do not need a nnue net to see mate in 1.

NNUE does not help stockfish to find mates and when I do not know about positions when stockfish fails to see mate in 1
I know that thanks to NNUE stockfish became weaker in finding mates.

I do not know if it is the case with other engines who use NNUE and it may be interesting if other engines who use NNUE also became weaker in finding mates after implementing NNUE.

something is clearly wrong in the analysis becase moves like 11.Rxg1 or 12...Rxg8 are illegal moves.
A rook cannot capture the king of the same color.

Yes, I think Schooner has some problems with Chess 960. It loses often by "illegal move".
