Checks in qsearch - must-have or optional?

I my framework, discovery checks and non-swap_negative checks in the first ply are no more than 10 elo. I've tested it for like a month trying different variations,
different move ordering, different ply conditions and nothing worked beyond 5-10 elo pts. Just my 2 cents. (I've done it recently as well with the latest dev. version since the last one has a DC bug, still no joy)
