Requires tinkering because no specific linux distro available. That is you can get one from http://www.orangepi.org/orangepibbsen/f ... a=page%3D1 but there's for example no main-line kernel support.

Saving US$4
It's possible to save US$4 by getting the US$15 PINE A64 instead of the US$19 PINE A64+. The cheaper model has half the RAM (512 MiB) and one tenth the maximum Ethernet speed (100 Mbps vs 1 Gbps).

Raspberry Pi is coming out with a version that's only $5.
When the original was announced I thought about making a small ARM cluster but realized the power was simply not there to justify time/expense. (Unless you are a developer releasing ARM-binaries, then maybe for a compiler farm)
Cheaper just to buy a true quad core AM3 system.
There is also this $9 SoC
