But if you want to install any GPU into your old computer pretty much you can almost always place a GPU into any card in any standard ATX, mATX,or other type of motherboards. built after 1996. And PCI express(the slot where the GPU will go, and many other devices can go too) is fully backward compatible. Therefore, most motherboard will be compatible with most GPU. What I meant to say is that after 1996 any Motherboard with PCI or PCI express are fully compatible with any GPU and if you have a PCI express 1.1 slot. Therefore, most motherboards will be compatible with most GPU.
