I just stumbled across the source of this wonderful engine. May I ask why the author wrote down the random (most likely?) numbers he uses for his zobrist keys? I mean, he wrote them down like that so I assume they must be better than a normal call to some random function inside a loop? I am very curious on how he did it and proofed this

Read what I wrote: "Why is a Pro(fessional) engine competing in an amateur series?". Ethereal e.g. doesn't compete anymore because it isn't considered to be amateur although one could easily use the free version. The real question should probably be: Why is Shashchess called "Pro"?
Besides that I find it questionable (and boring) that three of the competing engines are almost identical besides some very few differences. But I don't complain. Every tester has to pay for his electricity and can run every engine he likes.
End of story for me.
