Orion 0.9 release

Post by David Carteau »

I'm happy to announce the release of Orion 0.9, a new version of my little chess engine with :
- support for SMP ;
- a 24x smaller neural network ;
- speed improvement and memory consumption reduction ;
- correction of a small bug in 3-pieces endgame evaluation.

More information (and important note about originality) on my website (see signature).

Kind regards from France,

David

Hi all ! I hope this post will find you well :) I wasn't very active on my little engine Orion last months (a lot of work), which is sad considering all the ideas I would love to try ! At least, I managed to buy a domain name and transfer my website to a new host provider : https://www.orionchess.com. I hope all will work fine... :)

My browser refuses to download it (I get operation cancelled after a few moments).
I guess that my anti-virus does not know how to deal with it.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Hello Dann, I'm sorry about that. All was OK on my side : perhaps your antivirus software was reluctant to download files from a freshly new website (the domain name was one day old) ? Please wait a few days (and I hope a few downloads !) and retry. Thanks for your interest in Orion !
