Bit of an experiment on Lichess.
Each day of the week Lozza plays differently to the usual/nominal/tuned style. Fridays especially can be a bit crazy.

The idea is not to get Lozza's rating up on Lichess, rather, to be a source of fun, but without being a total walkover.
Tricky balance and feedback is appreciated as always if you give it a whirl...
No opening books used.

Thanks to the person that just tried it. I watched the game and realised I had messed up. I fixed 'Friday' now

Re: Lozza on Lichess with a weekly 'style'
Changed to a weekly style starting every Friday (when I tend to have a drink or two).
Starting today eval is just: material + pawn structure + king safety + smother: with smother being proportional to NBRQ distance [1-7] from the opponent's king; Implemented as a penalty of distance * 10 for mg and eg.

May or may not be fun!

I played and lost due to another typical blunder. Always these knights! I think I need to do a few more rounds on this website.op12no2 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 7:11 pm Changed to a weekly style starting every Friday (when I tend to have a drink or two).

Anyway, I prefer playing against humans, who don't see my blunders

Cheers for trying it out. Yeah, however much one perturbs eval, the tactical strength is there to back it up I guess. I've been thinking about sometimes not seeing long (distance) captures through busy areas of the board, etc., to spice it up a bit. I'll do some googling to see if I can find out the most typical human blunders. I suppose they change with experience too...j.t. wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 12:36 am I played and lost due to another typical blunder. Always these knights!
