Re: Colossus Chess 2021 !!
I think that might be a bit high
2008b sits at 2642 on the CCRL Blitz list.
My latest test of 2021a vs 2008b (at 1m+1s) gave +133 ELO BUT I always feel that tests against previous versions give an inflated value?!
I'll be happy if it settles into the CCRL lists at around 2750

Re: Colossus Chess 2021 !!
I am very happy that Martin did a new version, even when it took 13 years.
How good we are all still alive to test it.
So far the rating is increasing from version to version, only colossus X was maybe an exception.
I think it was broken. No matter if atari, amiga or pc version.
It seems version 4 was stronger then X.
But…
Today this is irrelevant.
We now have 2008b and today 2021a.

CEGT 40/4 started: https://cegt.forumieren.com/t1581-testi ... 2021a#3059
We have 2460 for v2008b (we use another start rating than CCRL), so I expect something between 2550 and 2600 at our scale

Re: Colossus Chess 2021 !!
Awesome!
There seems to be a few UCI / GUI issues using Colossus 2021 with the Shredder GUI. They PV in analysis mode is graded out, implying pondering. And the depth is shown as "0/20" i.e. fixed depth is always zero.
Looking forward to playing around with it.
