Actually I did refresh the cache, and it worked... sorry for the false alarm. I am using Chrome on MacOS

I think Chrome caches "deep code" code that's not on the immediate page for speed. Voting didn't work, then I emptied the cache (not sure if a simple F5 would have worked) and then it did work. Empty the cache in Chrome as follows:
1. press F12 to open the dev tools
2. right click on the curved arrow at the top left of the browser
3. select "Empty cache and hard reload"
4. close the dev tools
