Correct - I just visited the chess position forum, I forget what they called it. I normally do not go to chess forums to view non chess topics. It appears to be a waste of time for me, ymmv.Ozymandias wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 4:58 pmNo politics? I guess you didn't read any of the climate change discussions.

It's very sad. I was a moderator there and got no warning it was about to be shut. If I had known I would have saved some of the articles.

It's a terrible way for a website to go. Very short warning, no attempt at backing up the site, nothing, except whatever the imperfect Wayback Machine might have cached.

Why not try to save some archive? Just like is done with Talkchess now? Felix Kling is still webmaster at the official Rybka site. The domain of Rybkaforum.pl is still there and you can log in, but nothing else.

Wow! Didn't expect the archives to be brought back fully, I don't remember if I made it to 30000 posts on there or not (I was Uly there).Eelco de Groot wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 7:33 pm Darkness won't last forever!

As far as I know, Dadi Johnson was the administrator of Rybka Forum, the one paying for the rybkaforum.net domain and hosting, so it's a good bet to thank him for bringing it back.
