The word 'civil' started being struck from every dictionary not long after internet forums were invented.

Interestingly, in the 1970s, computer chess was highly civilised AFAIK. Even the WCCC events I went to in the 1990s and early 2000s were thoroughly gentlemanly, even though it had already become nasty online.

I want to make my message clearer. Not talking about walking out of TC.
That Mayhem is already so complex program. It's impossible to continue.

I think chess rules need simplifications for lazy programmers.
In Makruk there's no castling / no 2 steps pawns / no enpassant / no underpromotions ...

In the case of Dann, there's also the issue that, by his own admission, his computer chess hobby was a bit out of control: his house was full of high-powered graphics cards generating enough heat to warm the whole building, and all generating chess moves. He used to openly say it was a "disease", and he would receive letters from his electric company about his power consumption. Under these circumstances, I would support a break wholeheartedly.
