I remembered Bobby Fischer Queen Sac but Carlsen also just made an interesting one and there must be other deeper that most engines would not even considered :roll: https://twitter.com/ChessbaseIndia/stat ... gr%5Etweet

Qxd5 is best, but most people would have played Qb6+ -may be hard for engines

Qxd5 is good sac trap vs human opponent.
Against engines it doesn't work, and is on par with Qb6+

Qxd5 was slightly better from D=42 to D=51
From D=52 and up to D=41 Qb6+ is a bit better

Code: Select all

D=53
-2,95	28. ... Qb6+ 29.Kf1 Bxd5 30.Nf6+ gxf6 31.Qg4+ Kh8
-2,87	28. ... Qxd5 29.Rad1 Rxe4 30.Rxd5 Rxe1+ 31.Kf2 Rfe8

-2,72	29.Rad1 Rxe4 30.Rxd5 Rxe1+ 31.Kf2 Rfe8
-8,87	29.Nxd6 Qc5+ 30.Kf1 Qxd6 31.g4 Qxf4+
-8,89	29.Qg2 Rxe4 30.Rxe4 Bc5+ 31.Kf1 Qd3+
-9,66	29.Bb1 Bc5+ 30.Kf1 f5 31.Bc2 fxe4
-16,68	29.Bxc4 Bc5+ 30.Nxc5 Qxc5+ 31.Kf1 Qxc4+

But we don't know Qxd5 actually is best. Can people with good hardware please let your engines upon this position?

Edit: I wrote this before seeing yurikvelo's post. yurikvelo, is that SF's analysis?

Indeed, I had left the analysis running and my also switched to Ob6+ by a slightly better margin over Qxd5...
