Unlike in a real chess game in RelaxChess Qt You can step back and later forward to analyse something or just to correct the wrong move. This is new implemented feature. To restart a normal game just press Start again. During a stepping clocks will be paused if running.

Also unlike in real chess game in RelaxChess Qt you can always get a hint if you do not know which move to take.

RelaxChess Qt is almost ready. New feature is save and load old chess games. Here an example of loading old saved chess game. You can traverse through the game just clicking on saved move. You can start a game from that moment just by clicking a Start button.

Besides saving and loading chess games in full format (.pgn) you can save and load them in positions format (.epd) making a snapshot of current game. You can save them whenever you want playing a game and load them again when game is resetted (finished). After loading to play again just press Start button

Playing chess you can play white or black, also in RelaxChess Qt. Here example of playing black. It is a mirrored situation, but all features as stepping back/forward or hint remains of course the same

QRelaxChess for Linux and Windows is ready. Big plus of QRelaxChess own engine is that it plays a bit as human. Two games are never the same. But you can load other UCI chess engines. Here a game with Stockfish engine playing against himself. The windows game is available in Microsoft store (childhood issues solved) https://www.microsoft.com/p/qrelaxchess/9pf4xrw9tr66

QRelaxChess is possibly the fastest chess GUI in the world. Excluding chess engine game counts only about 5000 lines of code. Included video is the fastest possible replay of a sample chess game in QRelaxChess on my laptop.

[Moderation] Postings in this threat keep getting reported for violating the charter rule against 'commercial exhortations'.

The current moderators have discussed this issue, and as long as it remains limited to this single discussion thread, infrequently announcing release of new versions and one-liner descriptions, we see no reason to remove it. We also do not remove postings that announce new versions of Komodo, nor do we think it would be in the interest of members to do so.

So please stop reporting postings in this thread; it has our attention, and when we think it will exceed the bounds of what is desirable, we will act against it.
