Multi-threaded shortest mate solver

Post by lechmazur »

I wrote one using Stockfish's move generator. It's faster than Chest on sample problems from Chest's database when run on a multi-core system. If enough people are interested in using it, please let me know and I'll get it ready for a public release on GitHub. No EGTB support yet. Remember that like Chest, it's a prover for shortest mates, so usually SF or other programs will be faster in finding any existing mates in a position.

That's what I'm wondering - whether people are interested in using it because I'd need to add a command-line mode, some UCI options, some documentation, etc. before uploading it to Github. I'll count you as a yes. :)

Hello Lech:

A multi-threaded mate solver has been asked from time to time and therefore is long awaited. Looking forward to it, too. Thank you very much in advance!
