This project is getting better and better.
Maybe something for the todo list.
Analyze on the website of TCEC-Chess
additional engines analyze the running game live.
Could this be set up under Banksia too ?
Since I also test weaker engines, that would be
a great feature .

You may do with the following steps:
1) Open PGN game from URL
2) Give it the live URL of TCEC, tick the box "live PGN"

BSG will open the live game and auto frequently update it. Now you may turn Analyse on the fly, using one or several engines. Those engines will be updated whenever the board changed.

Try it and tell me if you need more or other things :)

Hello mister phhnguyen

First of all, I apologize for my poor English.I have a translator to help me.
With the live URL I did not mean a game from the web. But good to know that this is also possible.

What I mean is....
If I let 2 engines play against each other, it would be super
if one engine is calculating in the background. So as with Chessbase the Kiebitz.

Since I partly test very old engines, which are weaker in the game strength, the Kiebitz can tell me live where the errors are.

Best regards

Sorry, I don't have any Chessbase product thus I don't know about Kiebitz.

Based on your mention about calculating in the background, I guess it may be about:
1) Ponder mode: BSG can set on/off ponder mode for all engines at once
2) Set ponder on for some engines, off for some other ones: you can set ponder on/off manually for each engine
3) Analyze on the fly: Use that function via menu->Analysis->Analysis

Do you mean one of the above or another feature? Thanks

Hello mister phhnguyen

here is a link to the kibitzer .
http://help.chessbase.com/Fritz/17/Eng/ ... 000098.htm

With on Fly I had already tried it. Select an engine and then the running game is interrupted at start. I do not know if that is so wanted.

Many greetings

I think what he means is when 2 engines are playing each other, have a 3rd (and 4th, and 5th...) engine analyzing the positions of the game live.

Thanks all. I understood now.

BSG doesn’t have that function. The closest one is Analyse on the fly.

I have been considering. Adding a similar function is not a problem for me. However, I don’t see much benefit for users when it brings much more complication to users/me: one more extra board, make it look different from normal boards, one more computing information panel, how to show computing results (bestmoves, PVs…), how to close, open them, switch, control between boards…

I don’t see either when we really need that. If you are watching a live game, just turn on Analyse on fly and enjoy. BSG can run several engines at once for analysing. If we are watching an engines’ match, do we really need another opinion of the 3rd engines when having opinions of two engines (if you turn ponder on, both engines may compute at the same time)? Analysis the whole game after the match, using multi-engines may be a better solution.

Hi Phhnguyen,

The total number of games played is OK, is the score counter to fix. The are no 0.5 values. If I export games pgn and then I reimport it, the score is right. I continue to play other games waiting 0.49 :)

9 GAMES PLAYED, TOTAL SCORE RANDOM

Lichess bot feature now works even worse than before. When I play games via lichess bot feature, it never start playing when I start with the black pieces. Latest version created almost 200 games which are still in "playing right now" status, because Banksia GUI didn't make any moves. Is it possible to fix it?

It's Stockfish 14-dev 210805 with old FatFritz2_v1.bin open source from github. I named it Fat Fritz 2.2 in Stockfish 14. But sorry, someone here doesn't want that members share unofficial clone links, and I respect this :-)
