When Alpha Zero played SF8 crippled, but with Cerebellum, AZ's performance was mediocre.

So if Lc0 can beat the uncrippled latest Brainfish, that will be one indication it's much stronger than A0.

I see you only test on very fast hardware.

Ok.

But it gets really funny if you use weak hardware.
I have a tablet where LC0 makes 1-15 NPS. I am not speaking of KNodes but Nodes.

It plays very strong chess although the Android tablet is weak.
I first thought it would give a good opponent for my old dedicated chess computers. But surprisingly it even beated my Millennium the King running in a 300 MHz arm cpu with Johan de Konings the king engine,

And the way it did was marvellous. Not with tactics. But with strategy,

It seems even on the very low level of NPS the engine demonstrates that there is strength of chess with strategy beyond tactics.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....

Doesn't LC0 have a 40 mb cache of precalculated moves? Like a learn file. SF has to calculate everything from scratch.

Probably chessmaster 7000.
9000 is the king 3.1 version
Grandmaster edition is the king 3.5 version.
