Re: Rybka Forum Is Officially Closed?

It will be missed, it actually had a forum board dedicatd to chess positions with virtually no trolling, no politics, no arguments, no who did this or who did that ... imagine all the people living for today ... No politics? I guess you didn't read any of the climate change discussions. Correct - I...

Re: Stockfish: Our lawsuit against ChessBase

Chessbase no longer sells H6. That change was after SF developers filed their complaint. Was it? My understanding is there was a negotiation prior to any lawsuit being filed (although it’s not clear if it’s actually been filed) during which CB withdrew H6 from its shop. It’s easy to get these facts...

Re: Fat Titz 1.0 released

Fat Titz 1.0 This is a FREE UCI-compatibile chess engine. It is a fork of cfish . Thanks to Norman Schidt and Albert Sliver for inspiration on creating my own fork of Stockfish. Re: Stockfish: Our lawsuit against ChessBase

I never said it wasn't a crime. I just explained why the evidence is permissable in court and the reasoning behind the moral code of doing so. I'm not a lawyer but I live in the country where the case is filed and I have seen a lot of similar cases and I do know the moral reasoning behind it. Your ...

Re: New unbalanced openings are used in the SF-Framework

From now, the Stockfish Framework (https://tests.stockfishchess.org/tests) uses my new Unbalanced Human Openings XXL openings-set for testing all new patches! This will lower the draw-rate there from around 90% to around 50% (!) https://github.com/glinscott/fishtest/pull/996 (Switches to a new book...

Re: New Ryzen 5900X build

For Ryzen 5900X and SF, is there any point in going to 128 GB of RAM? What about a used GPU? Under $200 if possible. Really depends, for an Lc0 type engine, not so much , for SF/Komodo/Ethereal engine , most definitely. With high-end CPUs, hash tables get filled up very quickly. For Lc0 type engine...
