You got this right, non-AVX2 build from 3.07 to 3.12 are too slow. So also you confirm that 3.13 is way stronger on sandybridge ? The engine strength would purely rely on the characteristic of a single machine. It always does. Doesn't matter how you look at it. the only way to properly test is having 2 machines like what tcec does for gpu vs cpu where the gpu machine is optimised for gpu engines and vice versa. well soon they will admit the new era What do you mean with new era? It is based on Leela. The official Leela project has moved to Ceres afaik. This is no new era.
