I have tried those settings in the past and never found them to be very good. Either Stockfish wins in brutal fashion or it gets crushed just as brutally.
Is there a place where people are trying different settings and posting results? I would like to add my own..

heh heh...like I said earlier, those settings do not work, or if at all, inconsistently.
My (secret) Setting involves
only one parameter change and it beats Houdini 3 consistently.
As everyone knows, in Engine-Engine matches even involving different Engines more than 90 % of the moves can be predicted by the opposing Engine.
But what I find interesting about this S4 is that it frequently surprises H3 with its move choices.....some of which are so drastically different from what H3 was expecting, that it forces H3 to entirely change its line of thinking, to H3's detriment ! .....like H3 may be expecting a King-side move and thinking hard about it, but suddenly S4 makes a Queen-side move and that too a good one, forcing H3 to recalculate everything !

Of course, all this requires that one parameter change, without which S4, even though still very strong, becomes nothing very outstanding as Hurnavich at the rybka forum has found.
