cxd4 is the forum vote

This is a ponder hit, as has been one of the other moves. But unlike BigLion, Ufim does not respond immediately. The GUI shows "pondering", the engine is using CPU time, and in the engine window it acknowledges the ponder hit. But for the moment at least, regardless of a ponder hit, it still uses it's full time allocation for the next move

Ufim's time management is also very different to BL. With BL I had it set to 10 hrs per move, with the "exact" box in the GUI unchecked, otherwise I think the GUI would say the forum would lose on time on it's 24 hrs per move.. BL would always move within that 10 hrs

With Ufim, I have 6 hrs per move set, but it has been using about 10 hrs and at the moment on the current move has been more than 12 hrs.. I expected some variation around the 6 hr figure but not that much. So, sorry guys we have to wait a bit longer for Ufim's move

no rush Ray
let Ufim build up an overwhelming position so that the MDC can bring it on home with an easy victory

Hi Ray,

if your GUI can do it (ChessGUI can't for now), try fischer time control:
"5mins/Game + 6hrs/move".

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.
