Code: Select all

                               points 1:0 1/2 0:1 % m-avg 1/0<50 rk
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
03. Zangdar 6.1 927,0 632 590 78 71,31 81 13/ 2 + 11 07#
--. Zangdar 6.1.1 925,0 618 614 68 71,15 83 17/ 1 + 16 07#
1/0<50 = 1:0 / 0:1 under 50 moves
rk = ranks ... 07 = Lieutenant Colonel :-)
Elo is boring!

I made that all in LIVE mode on my engine-overview:
https://www.amateurschach.de/main/_engines.htm

1.300 games vs. 26 opponents ...
I think around all is the same, for me the bug from 6.1 is not really important, because my test-system have 64Gb RAM.

Interesting is:
More fast won games and lesser lost games.
Move average is a bit higher ...
But all in all ... with only 1.300 games, this is all within the margin of error.

Fact is ...
Zangdar is really very strong!!

Strongest French engine I think but I have to test Gaia and I am not ready with the group of French engines!
Zangdar proudly holds the French flag.

Keep up your good work!
Next step is Colonel before General with one *

:-)

Hi Philippe,

I forgot ...
If you have time ...

Example: Endgame: KQpp - K
Zangdar play now ...
Convert first pawn to queen, convert second pawn to queen.
Give the second Queen, give the third Queen and set mate with KQ-K

Not very nice.
Better is to search the direct way to mate.

Better is always to looking in games without resign mode.
Here you can make the move-average better ...

Note:
The lesser the move-average ... the more interesting is watching in LIVE mode.
The lesser the move-average ... more test-games can be play without resign-mode!!

:-)

Best
Frank

My played games can be found on ETOC-G detail site:
https://www.amateurschach.de/main/_etoc-g.htm (also separately for each test-run).

Hi Frank,

In this position, I am in the Sizygy tables. So the search is instantaneous. In fact, there is no search at all.
The problem is that these tables don't give the shortest win. So yes, its a little boring; but if Zangdar is in time crisis,
it don't use any time at all.
One idea would be to do a search when the material is very small, like this one.
I will look at it, not now, as I am very busy with the code now. But in some time.

Yes, not a bug ...
You could say it's a minor flaw.
But if you sometimes General ... it must be repair.

:-)

The style from Zangdar is also nice.
I am looking in your engine since I am happy with your first version.
Tcheran is also such an "new" interesting engine for me.
That is the English answere of Zangdar.

:-)

Very danger ... they don't give each other gifts or throw cotton balls at each other.
You have to get your wooden chessboard to safety when they collide.

Danger ... very danger!
I mean the eng-eng combination Zangdar vs. Tcheran 11.
Still running since days on my i7 Ultra Book ...

Hi Flavio,

my now 16 years old neighbor like to compile engines for me, if I need.
I am not a specialist for such things.
But I don't need it ... to many things are available for testing.

But Jim do it, Jim is the master of compiles, of course not the master of desaster.
I am the master of desaster, you know!
