What are you talking about?

Because I am part of a Team I am not allowed to have an opinion on the current situation regarding Fruit/Strelka/Rybka?

Sorry but I do not see any relevane in your questioning.

Opinions are fine, but actions speak louder than words.
I can't see anybody from other commercial engine teams testing clones/derivatives hard out and publishing the results. I could be wrong of course.

Cheers,
Graham.

Why on earth would commercial engine teams publish test results in which their product gets demolished by a strong and free competitor?

Especially one of very dubious origins.
You could of course do something about that by allowing a reputable programmer such as Bob or Gian-Carlo to examine your source code.

So you think that after your reputable programmers have examined my code, the commercial engine teams will start publishing test results in which their product gets demolished by a strong and free competitor?

If your engine is primarily based on Ippo code, then no I can't see it happening.

Note that you still haven't given a reply to my real question: Why do you expect that the commercial engine teams would publish test results in which their product gets demolished by a strong and free competitor?

For example, do the Junior/Hiarcs/Fritz teams publish test results where they play against (and probably get demolished by) Stockfish?

LOL.

Robert
I can see the Loop beta testers publishing results against stronger engines as one example.

Which of these beta testers are actually part of the Loop "commercial engine team"?
Can you find an example of the commercial engine teams of Junior, Hiarcs, Naum or Fritz publishing test results against Stockfish or Critter?

Offhand no, but all this is skirting around the real question, which is why not do something to get Houdini verified as not being an Ippo ripoff?

Cheers,
Graham.
