I suggest you review the entire timeline of this situation; you’ll find that many members were called out by this “chess author,” whose very name was in question too. As far as I can tell, you haven’t been mistreated on this forum (yet you continue posting numerous questions). Also many of the most gifted chess programmers and the very top Grandmasters are so full of themselves nowadays, only caring about themselves and their own wealth and their own success.

Different situations have different nuances, and not everyone responds in the same way or with the same motives. I encourage you to look closer at the specifics before assuming the entire community is abusive or self-centered.
