I have just started this Tournament:

1,200 games. (600 4+0 and 600 2+2).

Players:

Houdini 4.0 Standard, Contempt 0. (Following my friends Ipman's and Slankamen's suggestions).
Komodo TCEC (World champion. Available from yesterday).
Stockfish Rockwood (or Stockwood).
Stockfish Development (Latest version 041213)
Stockfish 111113 Ipman Large Pages (The current leader in my ranking).
Stockfish DD

Anyone dare to make a forecast obout the final result of this tournament?. It will last about 8 days non-stop in my two computers. I think the winner will be Houdini 4.0, but only with a small difference over his rivals.

Regards,

Tom.

Hello, Vincent,

Stockfish Rockwood has a very long name for the Fritz 12 GUI. With such a long name it can not run in Tournament Mode. A friend has re-edited the name without changing any parameter of the engine. He has renamed it: Stockwood.

Kind regards,

Tom.

.... woops, Vincent I see that perhaps I misunderstood your question. Was it related to the difference between Stockfisk Rockwood and Stockwood or you asked simply for this SF compile?.

There is a thread in the Rybka Forum explaining what is it:

I thought there was a way to edit the engine names to make them shorter so they can be run in tourneys under FritzGUI. I forget the name of the file where the names are stored. Anyone know ?

Hi Carl, this is the post of the person who edited this engine with a short game:

" I had to use a Hex Editor to rename to something shorter that Fritz would accept. It is now named "Stockwood".

Tom.
