I think better is 1.fxg6
After your 1.Be5 a2 2.fxg6 Black can play 2...Kg8! and have a possibility to win. 8-)

It should have been not only mentioned in the original posting, it's just another puzzle.

Louis and I simply started from a wrong fen without the castling- right
