Stockfish account was suddenly and without notice dropped after I commented here on ICGA and their tournament.

I won't re-apply. Thanks.
That was probably back in the day when you know who was moderating accounts there. A different story today I think.

Go to the engine room.

Select File at the top of the ribbon menu on the left, and select playing mode.

Here you can shoose computer, and then select the engine an options.

Also, there is a formula button atr the bottom of the seeks window.

Make sure you set your desired options here, and tick the activate box.

Ciao

Had mine set up within about 10mins of sending the mail, thanks :).

I did put Jabba online for a couple of days, but it's off now for CCT. When CCT is over, I'll leave it online 24/7. During CCT is a bit difficult!

Really? :x

It should not make a damn whether you are a rabid ICGA supporter or hater.

That's absolutely terrible. Why on earth would that have happened?
Chessbase and ICGA are completely different organisations.
Perhaps Albert might be able to shed some light?

Are you asking Marco if the link is "safe?" If so, you should have started a new thread. Inserting your post here is confusing. At least, I'm confused. :D

Marco, I can only convey my deepest apologies.

I did a search on the account. If there was any payback for this, it was not a suspension, but rather a lack of extension. All accounts are for a year, after which, they need to be renewed. My offer here is that this first year and all subsequent renewal are pure courtesy. In the case of Stockfish (I presume the account "Stockfish" is the correct one), the account expired in May 2012, and was not renewed. Whether or not this was retaliation is not 100% clear. It could simply be a misunderstanding due to the timing. But the expiration was a natural one, ending 12 months after the previous renewal. I have just had it renewed, now to March 2014.

I hope you will return as I suspect this was a mistake. In any case, I want to tell you that I am a deep believer in free speech, and second I am a deep admirer of Stockfish.

The post I am referring:

http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44000

Dates 9 of June 2012, and actually I don't remember if I accessed Playchess in the last month before the post (so in May). At this point it may well be that account was already expired when I post the message and I only realized it later so I could have mistakenly associated the post with the account dropping.

Anyhow thanks Albert for your words !

Albert, I won't have an engine to test on Playchess, I am more interested in playing chess myself. Am I eligible?
