crash a minute ago. Maybe related to 'kpk.bin'. (does Glaurung 2
still use this?) try removing it from the folder if it happens to you.
Glaurung 2.0.1 does not use the kpk.bin file, but whether this file is present in its directory cannot possibly make any difference when running the program. Glaurung never tries to read the file, or even checks that it is there.

I'm afraid I can't currently give any advice about what could be wrong with your Windows binary.

Anyone else encountered this problem?
Corrupt Zip file, Just re-download file.
Hmm.. Well I guess Winzip just didn't feel like it, just tried with Winrar and it worked fine.

Running smoothly on my E6600 and detects threads correctly.

Thanks!

Code: Select all

#define USE_32BIT_ATTACKS

Hi all,
I had crashes with Fritz 10 and Fritz 11 gui here too -
but I managed to install the engine inside Shredder GUI and Arena now!

The All Processors exe (312.832 bytes) seems to run fine with:

Windows Vista 32 Bit,
Pentium D945 (2 threads),
both in Shredder 5 and Fritz 8 GUIs.

(I didn't try very long calculation times yet.)

Yes - Fritz 10 GUI (and Fritz 11 according to Werner) are the problem GUIs.

Hi Tord,

Thank very much for the new Glaurung release.

The 'divide by zero' bug seems to occur when Glaurung is
in book (using it's own opening book). I get no crashes using
Arena mainbook.

Loads in Arena, but won't move in a match. Looks like it analyzes ok.

Only got to depth of 9 or 10 in a 1+1 match in Shredder GUI... is that normal?
