I would think the last thing you'd want is to alert accounts that only exist in order to skew moderator voting that an election is about to happen. Those who actually use the board will know about the election and the resulting mods will better reflect the desires of the user base.Harvey Williamson wrote:Also why is the email to all forum members on the admin panel not used?

its true it took time and effort to form a teammichiguel wrote:
For the record, I am not complaining and we should go with the team that is willing to moderate and be done with it.
but, we cannot say there was "plenty" of time to assemble teams. Being the first time, there were lots of uncertainties, and takes a while to wait confirmation from possible candidates, agree on a common platform and philosophy etc. I would say that there was barely enough time.
My point is: I suggest people who want to assemble a team for next January to start right away...

in fact the matter was made even more difficult when Harvey's suggestion to also add an Alternate was adopted
its really a miracle to get two members here to agree on anything..let alone four and let alone the links issue

But Harvey said TCAdmin paid no attention to such suggestions but just continued in a Soviet Style.Steve B wrote: the matter was made even more difficult when Harvey's suggestion to also add an Alternate was adopted

sorry this is bullshit as the rules are in place as who is able to vote.mhull wrote:I would think the last thing you'd want is to alert accounts that only exist in order to skew moderator voting that an election is about to happen. Ok simple question did sam read the posts asking for more time? I doubt it. Possibly a new rule should be no brothers on the same team? Do we need to vote on that seems other changes can just be imposed.mhull wrote:But Harvey said TCAdmin paid no attention to such suggestions but just continued in a Soviet Style.Steve B wrote: the matter was made even more difficult when Harvey's suggestion to also add an Alternate was adopted

So if he doesn't accede to all suggestions, that's a Soviet Style? I don't see how that is fair comment.Harvey Williamson wrote:Ok simple question did sam read the posts asking for more time? My question was did he read them? As far as I could see he did not log on much during the nomination period and just started the poll late.mhull wrote:So if he doesn't accede to all suggestions, that's a Soviet Style? But you don't wait for answers, you just insert your preferred answer and pass judgment. After all, you admit you didn't even read the poll. Now you demand TCAdmin read everything. That seems more than a little ironic.Harvey Williamson wrote:My question was did he read them? yes he is supposed to be running the election. I am just a simple voter like many who have no idea what is going on. The poll as it stands is open to protests.mhull wrote:But you don't wait for answers, you just insert your preferred answer and pass judgment. After all, you admit you didn't even read the poll. He read enough to incorporate one of your suggestions. Yet you assume he has read absolutely nothing but instead operates in a Soviet Style. Your complaint doesn't make sense, IMO.Harvey Williamson wrote:yes he is supposed to be running the election. I am just a simple voter like many who have no idea what is going on.
